Optical and why I left..

I just want to start this off by saying I absolutely loved the people I worked with, they seriously became some of my bestfriends. I enjoyed optical, and learned so much, BUT I didn’t see any growth in my personal career path with the company. When I initially started I didn’t mind the rude customers, or the fact that there was a ton of drama. (Crazy high school like drama, but that’s a whole other story.)
Also, clearly pictured above I had a manifesting eyeglass shopping addiction which brings me to reason number two for leaving lmfao. Some aren’t pictured RIP Ellen frames forever missing you. Why didn’t anyone stop me? #fakefriends LOL
I was stuck with a company who truly didn’t care, or value its workers. To add to my growing frustrations I hadn’t gotten a raise in TWO YEARS! Despite the fact that I had been promoted 3 months into me working there. I was always there and rarely called out. I did feel like there was no work/life balance, I always felt like I was working no matter what, on call 24/7.
Aside from all of that my main reason for leaving will always outweigh all of the negative reasons. I really felt I needed to stay home with the kids. You know when something keeps telling you to do something? Like you just have a very strong feeling, and you can’t shake it? That’s what it felt like every time I tried talking myself into staying, it never felt right. Am I saying I’m going to become a crafty, DIY mom overnight? No. Am I going to still try, and glue some sh*t together? Hell yes! Lol
I literally felt so relieved my last day of work, yeah I was going to miss everyone, but that’s what that big mouth filter on snap is for, for I miss you, and ranting messages DUH. I’m super thankful that I’m even given the opportunity to do this for myself, and the kids. I kept telling myself “If you feel this happy tomorrow then you’ll know you made the right decision,” and you know what? I feel f*cking fantastic! Where the glue gun, and Pinterest ideas at?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!! Best of luck being a stay at home mom, I miss it the most!!! it’s such a blessing that you get to do it and I can’t wait to see the pictures of when you start making butterfly shape pancakes haha. (I used-to make mickey mouse ones for millz) Anyhow, enjoy it to the max! staying home and watching your nuggets grow is worth so much more and more rewarding than any promotion♥
