Nostalgia

Model: Isaiah Y. aka Zay our oldest child

Remember when your mom used to wake you up for school every morning? I’m laughing now because I sure as hell do. My mom would wake me up 10x, and force me into the shower. I remember curling into a ball, or laying flat on my back in the shower to try, and get another nap in lmao. You could say it wasn’t my mom’s favorite part of the morning, and nor was I a morning person.

Have you ever tried doing those dumb things you used to do as a kid as an adult now? I recently did, and it wasn’t my finest hour lol. I chose to lay on the floor in the shower like I used to when I was younger. As I closed my eyes, and listened to the water hit the floor the first thought that came to mind was,

  1. “How was I ever able to get comfortable enough to sleep like this?”
  2. “Why did you do this again?”
  3. “Is that a baby crying!?”
  4. “How the f*ck am I going to get off of the floor?”

I literally sat there laughing like a maniac at the thought. When I finally was able to get myself up, (which is super hard if you have horrible backpain from an epidural, you mom’s know what I’m talking about) I realized a couple of things;

  • You’re not young enough to do that stupid sh*t, so don’t do it again.
  • You should’ve checked for any of the kid’s toys on the floor before you did this.

So yeah long story short I got a damn Mickey Mouse tangled in my hair, and it took everything in me to hold myself back from yanking the thing out. Nostalgia is a b*tch isn’t it?

Note to self: Mickey is no longer welcome in this house, remember to tell Ella he moved out when she goes looking for him. 😂

  1. I always like to come back with the statement… “Just wait until you have kids.” Hahaha!!! Mornings waking you up was NEVER a dull moment… from the long showers, the mini therapy sessions with your brother while one was in the shower, and the other on the toilet…and my utmost favorite, and in say this very sarcastically, ” Where is my SHHHOOOEEEE?!?!?” So my final comment on this karmic nostalgic momma ride is this… at least Mickey didn’t end up in your butt!!! I 🤣🤣🤣
